Staff & Residents Group Photo
This group image reflects the heart of Supporting Homeless: long-term residents living peacefully alongside a dedicated, consistent staff team. Many residents in this photo have lived with us for years, each with their own journey through mental health challenges, homelessness, and recovery. The presence of familiar staff — Adisa, Aneesa, Elaine and Andrew — provides stability, trust, and a sense of belonging. The photo conveys exactly what our service stands for: community, safety, continuity, and a peaceful, homely environment where people can live for life.

The Support Team: Elaine, Aneesa, Mandeep & Adisa
Our frontline team is known for consistency, organisation, and the gentle but professional atmosphere they create. Elaine and Aneesa deliver daily living support, advocacy, welfare checks, documentation, and crisis management, helping residents navigate everything from GP referrals to benefits issues. Mandeep oversees all medication functions, from ordering and administration records to liaising with pharmacies and GP practices. Residents often comment on Aneesa’s calmness, Elaine’s reassuring humour, and Mandeep’s precision. Together, they offer reliability, compassion, and a sense of home.

The Directors: Carol Forrest, Andrew Forrest & Iris Griffiths
Our leadership team combines over 60 years of experience in supporting vulnerable adults. Carol brings a decade and a half of management expertise and ensures every resident receives the practical items they need to feel valued, from toiletries to Christmas gifts. Andrew contributes strong knowledge of housing law and human rights and is known for resolving disagreements with fairness and clarity. Iris offers three decades of frontline experience with complex-needs individuals and is valued for her assertive, predictable approach. Together, they maintain a not-for-profit service built on stability, reinvestment, and unwavering commitment to resident wellbeing.

Directors with Service Manager: Carol, Andrew, Iris & Adisa
This group represents the operational and governance core of Supporting Homeless. The Directors set the culture, safeguarding expectations, and legal compliance, while Adisa carries these principles into day-to-day practice. She provides steady, compassionate oversight of the team and ensures all operational instructions are implemented consistently. Adisa also serves as the link between staff and the board, raising concerns, identifying improvements, and maintaining the calm, structured environment that defines our service.

Private Bedroom with En-Suite
Each resident has their own private bedroom, furnished to provide comfort, dignity and personal space. Rooms include a bed, wardrobe, TV, cabinet, chair, lamp and a self-contained en-suite bathroom. This level of privacy and stability helps residents feel settled and secure, offering a peaceful environment they can call home for as long as they need.

Communal Dining Room
Our communal dining room is the heart of daily life at Perseverance House. Residents come together here to enjoy freshly prepared meals, spend time with one another and build a sense of community. The atmosphere is calm, structured and welcoming — a safe space where people can connect, talk and feel part of something steady and familiar.

En-Suite Bathroom
Every bedroom includes a clean, modern en-suite bathroom with a shower cubicle, toilet and sink. Having private facilities helps residents maintain independence and dignity while benefiting from a high standard of accommodation rarely found in similar supported living services.

Hallway & Front Entrance – Perseverance House, 8 Ida Road
The hallway and entrance of Perseverance House set the tone for the rest of the home — clean, quiet and well-maintained. This is often the first space new residents encounter, and we take pride in ensuring it feels safe, calm and welcoming. It reflects the stability and structure that define our service from the moment someone walks through the door.

Communal Kitchen
Our fully equipped communal kitchen allows residents to prepare their own meals or drinks whenever they wish, with space to store personal food items. While most meals are prepared by staff, who also handle washing up and cleaning, residents are encouraged to use the kitchen at their own pace to maintain everyday life skills and independence.

Communal Lounge
The communal lounge is a peaceful social space where residents can relax, watch TV, or play games together. It offers a homely environment that supports connection, routine and positive social interaction. This shared space often becomes a place of comfort, helping residents feel part of a stable and supportive community.
