- Your own doorA private room and bathroom, and a tenancy
We are not a hostel. Residents hold a tenancy and stay as long as they need to.
Anyone can get in touch — for themselves, for a family member, or as a professional. There is no referral to arrange first, and no waiting to be sent.
Organisations we work with
Local authorities, hospitals and GP practices, probation and outreach teams, and mental health services all place people with us — but you do not need any of them to get in touch.
Our origin
Founded in 2014
Founded in 2014 in response to a growing need for long-term mental health support in Walsall, Supporting Homeless was created to offer stability, dignity and consistency to people who could not thrive in short-term or hostel-based settings.
Who we support
- Adult males with complex, long-term needs
- Adults with complex mental health needs
- People with histories of homelessness
- Individuals affected by addiction or long-term physical health issues
- People who need lifelong stability and consistent support
What makes us different
- Long-term supported living, not temporary accommodation
- On-site staff throughout the day
- Minimal staff turnover
- High-quality accommodation
- A calm, predictable environment
Who you would be dealing with
The same faces, year after year
Supporting Homeless was founded in 2014 and is run by its directors, with a support team who have worked here for years.
Low staff turnover is deliberate. Consistency matters here more than almost anywhere — it is the difference between telling your story once and telling it every month.
